How lucky are we to have this gift of art to keep our hands and minds going?
I have been working in the studio actively and also packing & shipping for a return to Studio North.
We are all facing precarious futures and many have been sharing new ideas to keep things going.
The notion is to romanticize about the isolation time for artists, but it is a challenge when you are accustomed to seeing your tribe.
Some things that worked for me:
Use what you have to discover new work. (paper, odd colors)
Take time to find your true self in your work.
Walk it back and rework those old paintings.
Become obsessed with your sketch book.
Do more looking and thinking.

And keep in mind that you don't HAVE to work.
